Education in Medical Genetics

The Department of Medical Genetics offers education to develop student's knowledge of human genetics and genomics, including understanding of recent developments in genomic medicine and genomics technologies, as well as application of genomics. Research is also involved with local, national, and international collaborations, providing an enriching research environment.

1. Undergraduate Training: Lectures are given to the schools listed below;

1. School of Medicine undergraduate students from 1st term to 6th term
2. Faculty of Dentistry students
3. Nursing School students
4. Bioengineering Faculty students
5. Medical Genetics Postgraduate Residency (4 years).

2. Postgraduate Training: Medical Genetics Postgraduate training includes lectures, laboratory practices, problem based education sessions, small group studies, research projects and case discussions on;
