General Information About Molecular Genetics Laboratory
Molecular Genetics Laboratory provides a molecular genetic testing facility for diagnose single gene
disorders by mutation detection. Molecular testing in prenatal and/or postnatal period can be
performed.
The molecular tests performed in the molecular genetic laboratories of our department. Clinical
indication for molecular testing should be required by medical doctor. Our laboratory analyzes were
done with today's modern techniques, offers services all over Turkey.
Our medical genetic doctors provides genetic counseling about disease, testing and results.
Our laboratory is located in the Department of Medical Genetics, at the ground floor of Ege
University Faculty of Medicine Hospital. Applications for genetic analysis are made to the
Department of Medical Genetics.
